After one of the most exciting votings ever, Turkey won the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 in Riga, Latvia. During the last votes, it was a close race between Russia, Belgium and the winner Turkey. Sertab Erener, who won with Everyway that I can, represented Turkey after an internal selection.

During the voting we received many, many comments from all over the world and from the press centre near the Skonto Hall. Many were unpleasantly surprised that host country Latvia, which did an outstanding job organising this year's Eurovision Song Contest only got a few points. The United Kingdom didn't got a single point this year, soemthing that will probably be a big shock for the BBC.

Lynn, who represented Malta, is said to be very disappointed by the low Maltese result this year. From several sources we heard that she does not want to give any press comments. Meanwhile, the Polish, Dutch, Russian and Belgian participants came to the press centre to join Sertab's press conference.

During the press conference, Sertab and her backings/dancers got a mass press attention. Sertab promised that a Dutch version of the song will be recorded, because she promised several months ago that she would do in case of winning this year's show.
