Thunder and lightning it’s getting exciting in Portugal, the technical and stand in rehearsals have already kicked off at the Altice Arena, the stage has been lit and is ready to go! The fireworks, lights, cameras, smoke, wind machines etc have all been tested.
The 2018 Eurovision technical and logistic teams are putting the final touches on the stage this week, as rehearsals are set to kick off on Sunday 29 April, when the first set of countries are to set foot on the stage in Lisbon.
Today saw the visit of EBU and RTP officials, who visited the Eurovision venue and checked out the stage and the ongoing Eurovision preparations.
Mr. Jon Ola Sand ( EBU’s Executive Supervisor for ESC) and Mr. Gonçalo Reis (RTP’s CEO) were amongst the group of officials who paid a visit to the venue today.

M&M Production Management will be running the Eurovison Diary for the 12th time, having it kicked off in 2002 when it was responsible for the stage construction back in 2002 when the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Tallinn, Estonia.
The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 8, 10 and 12 May at the Altice Arena in Lisbon
