RTP, the Portuguese national broadcaster is getting into full steam and will embracing the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in the best of ways. The broadcaster has planned a grandiose extensive ESC coverage with a line up  Eurovision related programmes from 23 April-12 May.

Portuguese and international viewers  will be in for a treat as they will be able to watch all the latest news regarding the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest and follow all the events live. RTP 1 and RTP International will go all things Eurovision for the coming 3 weeks with a massive Eurovision devoted coverage.

Todos A Bordo – The Diary ( 23 April- 11 May at 22:00 CET)

Every day, after the evening news Telejornal, Hélder Reis, Tiago Góes Ferreira and Joana Martins will show  viwers the ongoing 2018 ESC preparations, the teams, the musicians, the delegations and all the latest details from the arena and exclusive behind the scenes material.

Todos A Bordo – Compact version ( 29 April – 6 May at 13:00 CET)

Weekly you can watch the best moments in a compact program that week’s highlights and key moments.

Opening Ceremony- Blue Carpet ( May 6  16:30-21:30 CET)


The competitors and delegations from the 43 countries in the contest will be parading on the blue walkway on 6  May  at an event taking place at MAAT. Jorge Gabriel and Tânia Ribas de Oliveira will join us from the special ESC studio at the Eurovision Village, in Terreiro do Paço, where they will receive several commentators and guests. Catarina Camacho, will go live from the Blue Carpet at  MAAT and reveal the latest develoments and news from the event.

A Praça e Agora Nós – Todos a Bordo: (May 7-11, 11:00 – 15:00 CET and 16:00 – 18:30 CET)


Live from the Eurovision Village,  Sónia Araújo, Jorge Gabriel, Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and Herman José will  tell us about this complex mission and are set to reveal many surprises about the live shows.  Whilst  Vanessa Oliveira, Joana Teles and Rita Belinha will reporting live from the event venues.

Vanessa Oliveira will be keeping the viewers updated with her special segment Últimas da Eurovisão with reports until 3 May.

All Aboard – Grand Final (May 12, throughout the day)

On the day  of the Grand Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest RTP has prepared a special tv prograamme that will run throughout the whole day between 11.00- 20.00 CET. Viewers will be able to watch the preparations for this grand event and check out the highlights from the previous da . Many surprises will be in store, including a grand line up of special guests.

The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 8, 10 and 12 May at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal.
