Niamh Kavanagh and Chiara Siracusa will join Mr. Eurovision, Johnny Logan, on the list of special guests of the Romanian national final to be held on New Year Eve.
For the first time since its first participation in 1994, Romania will select its Eurovision hopeful on New Year's Eve. Thirteen acts will fight for the lucky ticket that will give one the right to represent Dracula's country at the upcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Also, the winning composer will receive a special designed trophy and a BMW3 Series (E 90) automobile.
As esctoday.com has previously announced, Johnny Logan also known as 'Mr. Eurovision' will be the special guest of TVR's entertainment programme for the New Year celebration. He was also appointed as the president of the jury. Johnny Logan won the Eurovision Song Contest twice as a performer (1980, 1987) and once more as a composer (1992).
Moreover, Niamh Kavanagh, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 and Chiara Siracusa , runner-up of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest will join Paula Seling & Ovi during their special concert to be held on the first minutes of 2011.
Romania is the third country after Switzerland and Albania to select its 2011 Eurovision entry this year. Their national final will be held on December 31.
