Germany: National final on 18th February?

German newspaper Bild reports that the German 2011 Eurovision semifinals will be aired on private television channel ProSieben on the 1st and 8th of February, whilst the grand national final to select the entry for Lena will be aired on ARD on the 18th of February. It has been announced that the 2010 German Eurovision winner Lena will be defending her title and will yet again represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest, this time on home soil in Düsseldorf.

According to German news website stern.de, Eurovision winner will be singing a total of 12 songs, which will be divided in 2 sets of 6, which she will perform during the 2 semifinals. These semifinals are claimed to be aired on German tv channel ProSieben on the 1st and 8th of February. The tv viewers will get a chance to vote for their favourite entries, the top 3 will then proceed to the grand final, scheduled to be held on the 18th of February where 6 songs will battle to represent Germany in Dusseldorf in May. Thus the German audience will select the song to represent them at the Eurovision Song Contest.
