The 2014 Dutch Eurovision hopeful is back in the game! OK is Ilse DeLange’s first solo single in five years.
Dutch pop, rock and country star Ilse DeLange has unveiled OK, returning to her successful solo career for the first time since forming her band The Common Linnets. The singer has been working on new solo material in the past months, including in Nashville (Tennessee, the United States), and OK is likely the first single of a new album which will be released in due time. Meanwhile, Ilse DeLange is also still working with The Common Linnets.
OK returns to Ilse’s more mainstream pop sound, combining her country voice with an up-beat summer tune. In the song Ilse DeLange addresses a friend or perhaps a lover who is going through a rough time, stating that it’s OK to cry and just let it be, as she will be a refuge.

About Ilse DeLange
Ilse DeLange (born Ilse Annoeska de Lange, Almelo, 1977) is one of the most popular female artists of the Netherlands, both as a solo-artist and as frontwoman of her country initiative The Common Linnets.
In 2014 The Common Linnets, together with guest singer Waylon, represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Winning Semi-Final 1, they ultimately reached the honourable 2nd place in the Grand Final, receiving 238 points with their entry Calm after the storm.
Waylon decided to leave the group after Eurovision, focussing on his solo-career. He will return to the Eurovision stage, representing his country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Calm after the storm became a huge hit across Europe and marked The Common Linnets’ international breakthrough.
Ilse DeLange currently also stars as vocal coach Ilse de Witt in the American hit-series Nashville on CMT.
