An average of 14.69 people in Germany watched the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 yesterday, when Lena took home the trophy. This means a strong average market share of 49.1% among all viewers as well as and even stronger market share of 61.6% among the younger viewers aged between 14 and 49.
These are probably the highest viewing figures in Germany ever, although reliable figures from the very early days of the contest are not available. Previously, the most watched Eurovision Song Contest before has always been reported to be the 1985 one, which was watched by 13.22 million people in West Germany alone.
