This Saturday sees the official kick off of Hungary’s national selection for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, A Dal. Last night, the country’s national broadcaster confirmed the names of the 10 artists set to compete in the first heat of the selection this weekend.
Get ready as this weekend, Hungary begins the search for their next Eurovision representative with the start of their national selection, A Dal 2018.
Heat 1 takes place this Saturday, and we now know the names of the first 10 artists set to compete in the event.
Here are the first heat participants

- Fourtissimo feat. Markanera – Kisnyuszi a kalapban
- Viktor Király – Budapest girl
- Gabi Knoll – Nobody to die for
- Leander Kills – Nem szól harang
- LivingRoom – Kirakat élet
- Noémo – Levegőt!
- Patikadomb – Jó szelet!
- Zsolt Süle – Zöld a május
- Tamás Vastag – Ne hagyj reményt
From the 10 heat 1 participants, 6 entries will advance to the semi-final stage of the competition: the first round will determine the 5 initial qualifier to be decided by a combined jury-public vote, whilst the sixth qualifier will be decided in the second round and selected by a 100% public vote.

- 10/02: Semi-final 1
- 17/02: Semi-final 2

The winner of A Dal 2018 will go on to represent Hungary at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Lisbon. Hungary will compete in one of the 2 semi-finals on either the 8 or 10 May.
