Daniel Diges, this year's Spanish representative in the Eurovision Song Contest, will release his debut album, named after himself, on May 18th. The artist, signed to Warner Music, feels very excited and proud of the fact of having his very first CD available in music stores.

Daniel told RTVE.es, regarding the recording of his first CD, that "this is one of the most beautiful and most impressive things of my life, apart from Eurovision".

Most of the tracklist of the album has been composed by Daniel himself, except several covers of songs by worldwide renowned artists, like Michael Bublé, Billy Joel or Robbie Williams.

The idea of producig this CD came out when Daniel was preparing his candidacy to represent Spain in Eurovision. With several songs in store, the singer contacted the 5 Grammy winner Óscar Gómez, who had collaborated with Joan Manuel Serrat, Miguel Bosé, Chayanne, Albert Hammond, Bonnie Tyler, Roberto Carlos, Ana Belén or Julio Iglesias, to name a few.

Of course, the album will include the Spanish entry Algo pequeñito in two versions, the one we know to be performed in Oslo, and a "different" one. Daniel Diges will present his debut album and will sign copies for his fans.
