Today, Tom Dice, this year's Belgian Eurovision Song Contest entrant, has released his debut album entitled Teardrops. According to the artist, Teardrops is “a sensitive album full of songs with a recognizable underlying message.” The album can be purchased on iTunes worldwide.
Tom Dice is signed to the new recored label Sonic Angel, where he is reunited with Maurice Engelen, who had been his vocal coach during his participation in the 2008 edition of the Flemish version of X Factor. Due to his successful appearance on the show, which eventually resulted in second place, he became the first artist to gain a contract under this label. Consequently, he got to release his first single, an acoustic cover of Leona Lewis' smash hit Bleeding love, in June 2009. Bleeding love can be found on his debut album Teardrops, as well as the previously released A soldier for his country, a song about the traumatic war experiences of a solider, and most importantly, his Eurovision Song Contest entry Me and my guitar.
With Me and my guitar, Tom previously managed to climb to the top of Ultratop 50, the chart of the best selling singles in his home country Flanders. In the Wallonian part of Belgium, the song reached 18th place.
