First 7 artists advance
This evening the first 7 qualifiers were confirmed on The Next Star, each of whom were determined via the judges of the national selection.
The qualifiers were the following:
- Riki Ben Ari
- Jonathan Margi
- Adva Omer
- Neta Barzilai
- Jose Steinberg
- Chen Aharoni
- Shir Baruch
We officially waved goodbye to Noa Bell, Yafit Casay and Hagar Yefet in the first episode of the second phase, meaning that those artists will not advance in the competition.
One qualifier from tonight’s episode was Jose Steinberg, who performed to the 4-member judging panel before having to leave before receiving the result due to work commitments.
Later on, the jury panel revealed to the singer that he had in fact qualified to the third stage of the competition, joining the 20 finalists.
You can watch the full performances from last night’s show via the official The Next Star website.
The Next Star continues on Sunday, in which the remaining 13 advancing artists will be confirmed by the jury panel.
