The show

It’s another evening of auditions in the country of Israel tonight, as the nation’s selection for Eurovision 2018 – The Next Star – continues into its fourteenth night of the competition.

A further group of artists will audition in tonight’s show, hoping to gain the votes of both the public and jury, therefore qualifying to the next round of the selection.

Artists need to receive at least 70% of the ‘Yes’ vote in order to advance in the competition, with a maximum percentage of 40% being offered by the 4-member jury panel.

As was newly introduced in this current season of The Next Star, artists failing to receive the 70% needed in order to qualify to the next stage can be offered a ‘Save’ vote from the 2 selection hosts: Assi Azar and Rotem Sela.

The Next Star will continue next weekend on the 24 December at the same time on Keshet 12.
