Polish Eurovision 2016 star Michał Szpak will headline the grand New Years Eve concert Sylwester z Dwójką 2017, alongside Margaret and other artists.

Sylwester z Dwójką (New Years Eve For Two or New Years Eve Together) is the grand TV-show in which Poland musically says farewell to the past year, and celebrates the coming new year.

Held in the city of Zakopane, Sylwester z Dwójką 2017 will feature a host of national and international artists.

Michał Szpak, Polish Eurovision 2016 representative, is among the headliners. The charismatic singer will surely rock the stage during the party that welcomes 2018.

Another artist that will be familiar to Eurovision enthusiasts is rising pop-star Margaret. The Polish singer-songwriter, who placed second in the Polish national selection for Eurovision 2016 with Cool me down and will participate in Sweden’s Melodifestivalen 2018, will bring a bit of musical spice to New Years Eve.

In total, over 30 artists will compete in the grand event, with further names expected to be released over the coming days in the lead up to New Years Eve.

Sylwester z Dwójką 2017 will be hosted by Rafał Brzozowski, Izabella Krzan and Thomasz Kammel, broadcast on TVP2 from Równi Krupowej in Zakopane’s city center, from 20:00 CET on New Years Eve.

Michał Szpak (Jasło, Poland, 1990) is a Polish artist who rose to fame after his participation in X Factor Poland in 2011.

Michał Szpak represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden. With his heartfelt song Color of your life, the enigmatic singer eventually reached a respectable 8th place in the Grand Final, receiving 229 points.

The versatile artist is diligently working on his career, and recently had a victory in The Voice Of Poland, being the coach of the show’s 2017 winner, Marta Gałuszewska.

About Margaret

Margaret (born Małgorzata Jamroży, Stargard, Poland, 1991) is a Polish singer-songwriter and upcoming pop-star.

Margaret gained international attention when she participated in the national selection for Eurovision 2016 with the song Cool me down, placing 2nd after – incidentally – Michał Szpak. Nevertheless, Cool me down became a huge hit and favourite among Eurovision fans.

Margaret’s popularity is expanding throughout Europe. She will participate in Melodifestivalen 2018, the Swedish selection for Eurovision, with the song My cabana.

The singer has received various awards, including a Kid’s Choice Award and two MTV Europe Music Awards.
