Latvia 
Following in Hungary’s footsteps, Latvia’s national broadcaster, LTV, has released the names of the 21 participants set to compete in the forthcoming Eurovision national selection for the country, Supernova 2018.
In the return of the Latvian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, Supernova will once again determine the country’s representative at the 2018 competition in the host city of Lisbon.

In total, the upcoming Supernova selection will see a total of 8 female soloists, 5 male soloists and 8 groups.

Three semi-finals introduced
In changes to the upcoming selection, Supernova will see the removal of the Heat rounds of the competition, instead being replaced with 3 semi-final rounds.
Seven artists will compete in each semi-final, with 2 acts qualifying from each show. Therefore, 6 artists will compete in the final of Supernova in February 2018, the winner of which will fly to Portugal as the Latvian representative at Eurovision.
