Ukraine’s anti-crisis girl from 2009, Svetlana Loboda, has released a new song and music video, Paren’ (Boyfriend).

Paren’, which translates into English as Boyfriend, was released on 1 December and is the latest single to be released from the Ukrainian singer this year.

It’s been a busy year for the former Eurovision artist, whose YouTube channel has been filled with all of Loboda’s recent releases over the past year.

Paren’ is available to listen to and purchase on iTunes, Apple Music and Google Play.

Loboda at Eurovision 2009

Svetlana Loboda represented Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow with the song Be my valentina (Anti-crisis girl). She finished in twelfth place with 76 points.


Eleanor (or Ellie), is 26 years old, is from Exeter in the UK. She combines motherhood with studying linguistics. Ellie was first allowed to stay up and watch the Eurovision Song Contest aged 5 in 1999, but really fell in love with it after the Athens 2006 contest.
