Just a breath away from tomorrow’s SVT press conference which will see the announcement of the artists that are going to compete at this year’s Melodifestivalen, there are 3 more rumoured names that seem to be among the participants, as the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reports.

Who are they?

Moncho

The first of these “confirmed” Melodifestivalen acts is the 29-year old singer Moncho (birth name Ramón Monserrat), who has been part of the hip-hop Uppsala-based LöstFolk. However, Mancho is now going to take part as a solo artist.

Eddis Abbas

Moreover, Melodifestivalen 2018 sees the participation of Eddis Abbas, who will be the youngest 2018 participant, as he’s going to turn 16 only in December. Eddis will be partaking with an entry wriiten by the composer K One, who has also joined forces with former Swedish Eurovision entrants, such as Sanna Nielsen and Robin Bengtsson.

Here is Eddis’ debut single Min queen, which was released two months ago.

Jessica Andersson

Aftonbladet’s report indicates the former Eurovision participant Jessica Andersson as a Melodifestivalen 2018 entrant too. The artist has taken part 6 times in the past, with the latest being in 2015 with the song Can’t hurt me now. She has won the Swedish national competition once, in 2003, as part of the group Fame with the song Give me your love, coming 5th at Eurovision.

According to released information, Jessica’s song won’t be a ballad and is going to be quite attractive to the Melodifestivalen fans.

Alcazar not to compete in 2018?

According to the same sources, the pop/dance Alcazar group seems to have received a negative response from the show producers, despite being a highly-rumoured act to participate once again in 2018. The group member Lina Hedlund has recently uploaded on Instagram video with Andreas Lundest stating:

On Tuesday you’ll get to know what happens with Alcazar 2018.
