Auditions continue in this evening’s episode of The Next Star, with a further set of artists competing for a place in the next stage of the competition. But first, they need to earn the votes of both the audience as well as the jury panel.

Each jury member – the panel of which consists of Static & Ben-El TavoriKeren PelesHarel Skaat and Assaf Amdursky – has a 10% say in the final outcome of each artist’s performance, with every auditionee needing to receive at least 70% of the ‘Yes’ vote in order to advance in the competition.

If an artist fails to receive the 70% needed, the performer still has one chance of proceeding in the competition, but they will need to rely on the ‘Save’ vote of the 2 hosts of the competition, Assi Azar and Rotem Sela.

The winner of this year’s Next Star competition will earn the right of representing the country of Israel at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Lisbon.
