The show has started.
After a recap of the songs that have already qualified, tonight's participants are introduced.
1. RamÅ«nas Difartas – Blues of life
The title gives it away: This is a blues song. Actually, it is quite a happy one, which might be seen as paradox but does actually work on stage. An entertaining opener for the show but the song itself might be a bit too old-fashioned (even) for the Eurovision Song Contest. Still, the vocal performance is strong and the stage performance features some nice gimmicks.
2. Soliaris – So high
A highly dramatic performance now. The lead singer puts on his angel wings and flies across the stage which is full of fog. All that sort of distracts from the song itself, which is quite catchy and well produced but might not be outstanding enough for the Eurovision Song Contest.
3. The Cavaliers – We are about to love
If the second performance was too dramatic, the third one might have been too simple. The lead singer just stands on stage and tries to sell the rather unspectacular song. This effort lacks some emotions and some kind of a highlight.
4. Eden – Nirvana
Metal now. The vocals are very strong and the simple but classic stage performance suits the entry perfectly. This should be a likely qualifier tonight.
5. Eva – Nes tu pamiršai
A sweet, but slightly forgettable pop song. The stage performance is surprisingly static, but it features a very interesting element displayed on screen: Sand animation.
6. MerÅ«nas – Rosa
A classical ballad now. Merunas is definitely a strong singer and he delivers the song in a way as it is expected. This one would definitely find some fans although the Italian style might not be the right approach for Oslo.
7. ŠirdelÄs – Aš ir tu
The next song is performed by a female duo. Although they do not look like pop stars on stage, their vocals are strong and emotional and the song itself is quite catchy. It might not be a Eurovision winning song, but with a more impressive stage performance it might have chances of doing well.
8. Gaudentas Janušas – Man nieko nereikia
Who would have thought that the next performer is a rapper? He delivers an enthusiastic performance of this entertaining song, which also features some raggae elements. This one will probably not be taken too seriously but it would be an interesting choice if Lithuania wants to go for something different.
9. 4Fun – Don't you know
2007 representatives 4Fun give it another try. Their guitar and ukulele based song is very catchy and its relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to set people in good mood. Not a typical Eurovision effort but a very nice entry that might suffer from the rather strange outfits.
10. InCulto – East Europe Funk
Some will love it, others will hate it. The song is very catchy and sounds exactly as the title suggests. The stage performance is hectic and suits the song but could even feature some more gimmicks to create a omplete picture.
11. Evelina Sašenko – For this I'll pray
This song is a candidate for the ballad vote tonight. Classic song, classic performance and strong vocals – this one might really do well tonight although it might not be outstanding enough for Eurovision.
12. JÅ«ratÄ MiliauskaitÄ – Let it rain
Jurate looks like a rock star on stage but she performs a guitar pop song. The vocals are flawless and the performer is confident. The second half of the song might be a bit too smooth and lacks some edges.
A recap is now shown with all twelve songs.
The results are in. Inculto, Evelina Sasenko and Merunas have qualified for the final.
