Venus bid to represent Spain

All-girl band Venus will be bidding to represent Spain at the fortchcoming Eurovision Song Contest scheduled to be held in Oslo next May with their song Perfecta. The girl band will be competing tonight with another 9 acts in order to win the golden ticket to Oslo, at the Spanish Eurovision national final Eurovision 2010, Destino Oslo.

Venus is a trio made up by three girls already known to the Spanish public. Two of its members participated at the talent show Operación Triunfo: Mimi (Miriam Segura) participated at the 2008 running of the show, where she came 6th, whilst Diana Tobar took part in the 2009 edition. Marta Mansilla first appeared on tv screens back in 2002, when she became one of the hopefuls at the show Popstars, after which she went on joining the group Bellepop.

Will Venus get to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo? We will have to wait and see what happens tonight at the Spanish Eurovision national final which will be aired live on TVE1andTVE International Europe (via satellite) at 22:15 CET.
