Spanish Eurovision representative chosen on February 22

The Spanish national final to select the country's representative at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest will be held on Monday, February 22nd, as the public broadcaster RTVE has confirmed moments ago. The corporation has also informed that the composition of the jury is already decided and several guest artists will feature at the show.

Anne Igartiburu and Ainhoa Arbizu will host the show, to start at 22.15 CET. The national final will be aired on the TVE main channel TVE1 and also webcast on rtve.es.

As we reported earlier, 10 acts will fight for the right to represent Spain in Oslo: Coral Segovia (En una vida), John Cobra (Carol), Lorena (Amor mágico), Samuel y Patricia (Recuérdame), Daniel Diges (Algo pequeñito), Fran Dieli (Cuando se trata de ti), Venus (Perfecta), Anabel Conde (Sin miedos), José Galisteo (Beautiful life) and Ainhoa Cantalapiedra (Volveré).

The outcome of the national final will be provided by a combination of televote and jury deliberation at a 50/50 stake. The names of the panelists have also been revealed today. They are: Manuel Bandera (actor), José María Íñigo (journalist, music expert), Toni Garrido (journalist), Mariola Orellana (producer) and Pilar Tabares (former entertainment manager at TVE, radio presenter and director).

A number of guest artists will appear at the national final: Rosa (Spanish Eurovision representative at Eurovision 2002), Sergio Dalma (1991) and David Bustamante (2002 Spanish finalist at Operación Triunfo).
