Nina Zilli at Eurovision

Nina was the winner of the 2012 Sanremo festival and thus she earned the right to represent Italy at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, hosted in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Although it was decided that her Sanremo entry Per sempre would be her Eurovision entry, it was later announced that the nation would be singing another song in the contest, named L’amore è femmina (Out of love).

Her record label Universal Music released her Eurovision entry commercially in April 2012. With this R&B song, she placed very well on the final scoreboard, as she finished in 9th place and scored 101 points.
