Iceland sends Hera Björk to Eurovision

Tonight, the Icelandic national final was held. The televoters decided the Hera Björk will defend the Icelandic colours at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, with her song Je ne sais quoi, which she wrote together with Örlygur Smári, who has also been responsible for Iceland's Eurovision entries of 2000 and 2008.

The winner of the Icelandic national final was chosen by televoting and only the top two were announced. Hera Björk won ahead of Jógvan Hansen.

Before becoming Iceland's Eurovision entrant for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, Hera Björk was backing vocal of the Icelandic Eurovision entries of 2009 and 2008 and reached 2nd place in last year's Danish national final with Someday.
