Dami Im, the Korean-born Australian representative at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, has not forgotten her Korean roots. The successful singer and winner of the 5th Australian X-Factor show becomes a part of the project of Artists for One Korea and sings among others about unity and the desirable reunification of North and South Korea.
A dream wishing to come true
The project Artists for One Korea was created by 8 artists (including Dami Im) and the other 7 are: Peabo Bryson, Jung Dongha, Voisper, Edray, Sabrina, Zendee Rose Tenerefe and Lauren Evans.
Their song Korean dream doesn’t speak politically, but sends a message of peace and love calling the people to “circle the world as one”.
Dami Im has posted a video on her official Facebook account, where she talks about her Korean origin, her strong ties with the country and her honour to be a part of this project. In parallel, a small part of their work is being heard in the background.
