Norway: Last two Siste sjansen contestants revealed

The final two acts to compete in Siste sjansen ('The last chance'), the second chance round of the Norwegian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 have been revealed. The two acts that reached a fifth place with the highest numbers of votes will get another chance to compete for a ticket to the final of MGP 2010 on Saturday.

The following two acts will compete in Siste sjansen on Saturday:

  • Skanksters Life is here today

  • Johnny HideRewind love
    (Julian Berntzen)

Skanksters had finished fifth in the second semi final while Johnny Hide had already done so in the first semi final. Both received more votes than the unknown act which finished fifth in the third semi final last Saturday.

The line-up for the second chance round this Saturday is therefore complete:

The eight songs will compete in pairs with the favourite of each pair qualifying for the second round of voting, where the formula will be repeated. eventually, two entries will be left to join the six songs already selected for the grand final of MGP 2010.

In 2009, Norway was represented by Alexander Rybak, who won both the second semi final and the final with his song Fairytale. Norway is therefore the host country of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest and directly qualified for the final.
