Over the coming days and until the voting period in Spain closes on February 5th, esctoday.com will be presenting you the candidates wishing to represent their country next May in Oslo. A short bio of them, as well as their songs and links to vote for them on the RTVE official website will be provided. Today, we invite you to know a little more about Ã�lex & Joan Casademunt, Bizarre, Chiccaperez, Fran Dieli, Iván Gardesa, Javier Bovea, La Buena MarÃa, Malena Gracia & Maremagnum, Sonia Monroy and Vicente Casal.
Àlex & Joan Casademunt – Tan sólo mirarte (Just looking at you)
Àlex debuted on tv screens back in 2001, at the first edition of the Spanish show Operación Triunfo. After being eliminated, he joined the band Fórmula Abierta, together with other former OT contestants, leaving it shotly after to start his career as a soloist. Soon he would debut as a tv presenter and actor in several shows and series aired on both national and regional broadcasters in Spain. Àlex bids now for Eurovision together with his brother Joan with the ballad Tan sólo mirarte.

Bizarre – Un segundo más (One more second)
Javier García, Meritxell Marín, Alfonso Montaño and Jordi Bonastre are the members of this group, which is already familiar and popular with Spanish Eurovision fans since they applied for both the 2008 and 2009 Spanish Eurovision selections. Their first attempt, with the song Si pudiera, led them to the final stages of the competition, whilst last year, with Sigo cayendo, they were not that successful. This year they are set to represent Spain with Un segundo más, which has been used as the soundtrack for the tv series 90-60-90 Diario secreto de una adolescente.

ChiccapereZ – No mires atrás (Don't look back)
ChiccapereZ (Leticia Pérez) took part in the third edition of Operación Triunfo, aired on TVE1 back in 2003-2004. She achieved 6th place in the competition. Leticia also entered a song to the 2008 Eurovision preselection in Spain, entitled Paso.

Fran Dieli – Cuando se trata de ti (When it's about you)
Yet another former Operación Triunfo contestant aiming to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest. Fran Dieli took part in the 2005 running of the talent show, the same edition where Soraya, 2009 Spanish representative, became known to the public. Fran placed 5th overall. This guy from Granada also starred at the nostalgia show Los mejores años de nuestra vida, aired on TVE1 last year.

Iván Gardesa – Sálvame (Save me)
2010 marks the third attempt for this guy from Madrid to represent Spain in Eurovision. In 2008, he participated with the track La fama, and in 2009, with Esta rumbita que te escribí. Iván is hoping now to go to Oslo with Sálvame.

Javier Bovea – Amor incondicional (Unconditional love)
Javier Bovea is a tenor that used to work as a policeman, now retired. He became known to the Spanish public thanks to his victory at the talent show Tú sí que vales (Spain's got talent) last year. He has devoted many years of his life to singing operatic compositions from the masters of this genre: Madame Butterfly, Tosca, La Traviata, as well as zarzuela (Spanish operetta), such as Doña Francisquita, La Dolorosa or La Claveles. His goal now is to represent Spain with Amor incondicional.

La Buena María – No me falles nunca (Never let me down)
La Buena María is a band comprising Tomy Alamán, Jose Primo, Miguel Morillas and Cherry Saez. All of them are experienced musicians who have developed their careers in several groups leading to their new project. They are now preparing their new album, to be released this year. The four guys apply for the Spanish selection for Eurovision 2010 with the song No me falles nunca.

Malena Gracia & Maremagnum – La vida (The life)
Malena Gracia is well-known to most of the Spanish public owing to her numerous public appearances on tv shows. She is not a newcomer to the Spanish Eurovision selections. She already participated in 2008 with Un poquito más and in 2009 with Quiero volar. Malena is back this year with the band Maremagnum singing La vida.

Sonia Monroy – Muévete (Move up)
Sonia is also a popular face in Spain as she tends to appear more often than not on various shows on television, where she has starred as dancer, singer, reporter and actress. She has released a couple of albums as a soloist to date and one as a member of the group Sex Bomb. Sonia Monroy is back to the Spanish selection for Eurovision this year, as she participated last year with the song Yo soy la otra.

Vicente Casal – He aprendido (I've learned)
For the third consecutive time, Vicente Casal bids for Eurovision. In 2008 he entered two songs, Aprendamos y Cómo duele, and in 2009 he sang Tú me complementas at the first semifinal of Eurovisión 2009: El Retorno. Vicente tries again this year with He aprendido.
