Ireland: National final on March 5th, 2010

Today, esctoday.com received confirmation from Irish broadcaster, RT&Eacute, that the Late Late Show Eurosong 2010 will take place on Friday night, March 5th.

The Late Late Show Eurosong special will feature five songs chosen by a jury from all the entries received by RTÉ. The winning song will be selected by a 50/50 spilt incorporating regional juries aswell as a public televote.

This year Ireland is having an open call for songs. The closing date for receipt of entries is noon on Monday 01st February 2010. More details can be found here.

The national final will be broadcast live on RTÉ ONE television.

Last year, Sinéad Mulvey & Black Daisy were selected to sing "Et Cetera" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009.
