Anabel Conde, the Spanish representative at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest, will be back on the Eurovision scene. The Andalusian singer is bidding to represent Spain at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo next May. Anabel has submitted her song Sin miedos (Without fears) to TVE in order to compete in the Spanish 2010 Eurovision national final Tu paÃs te necesita.
Anabel Conde, who hails from Fuengirola, Malaga represented Spain at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Vuelve conmigo, achieving an honourable 2nd placing in Dublin, thus being the best Eurovision result for Spain since their winning entries in 1968 and 1969.
She has tried to come back to the Eurovision scene several times before. In 2000 she competed at the Spanish Eurovision 2000 national final Eurocanción 2000 in duet with David Domínguez with the song Sin colores, sin fronteras. They achieved a 4th placing in the selection due to the fact that the Spanish audience chose Serafín Zubiri to represent them in Stockholm. Anabel was back on the Eurovision stage in 2005 in Kiev,as a backing vocalist to the Andorran representative Marian van de Wal.
In 2006 Anabel tried to represent Poland, she submitted the song Sappho at the Polish Eurovision national selection but was not selected to compete in the national final. Last year, we saw Anabel Conde competing in the Spanish Eurovision 2010 national final as a backing vocalist to Roel, who competed with the song Y ahora dices. This year, Anabel will be back in the Spanish natioanal selection Tu pais te necesita with the song Sin miedos (Without fears).
