The open rehearsals for tomorrow’s Eurovision Second Semi-Final are going underway today at the IEC in Kyiv! The 18 participating countries and 2 of the Big 5 as well as the host country Ukraine are making their first dress rehearsals, which are open to the public.

With the second semi-final jury show taking place later on tonight, this afternoon sees the first full run-through of the show in today’s open rehearsal in which artists from the 18 competing countries will take to the stage.

The next full dress rehearsal takes place this evening and is also the jury show for the second semi-final. The jury will watch tonight’s show live and will submit their votes to the EBU which will make up 50% of the semi-final vote.

The remaining 50% will be determined tomorrow evening by the public televote and will be added to the jury votes, with the top 10 from semi-final 2 qualifying to Saturday’s final.

13 Switzerland

The Swiss group Timebelle rehearses on stage. With colourful staging with elements from the Greek mythology, the band will try to qualify to the Grand Final, after a series of recently disappointing results for their country.

14 Belarus

Belarus is next to take the stage to rehearse. For the first time singing in their national language Belarusian, the group NAVIBAND will perform ahead of an inspired immersion of flying among clouds and cities.

15 Bulgaria

One of the favourites to enter the Top 5 and also to win the contest. Kristian Kostov is rehearsing on stage, promising an elegant performance by an impressive voice.

16 Lithuania

With a similar appearance to their national final’s one, the band Fusedmarc performs on stage of Kyiv. Their song is called Rain of revolution.

17 Estonia

Dressed in one of the most impressive and detailed dresses of this year’s contest, the singer of Estonia Laura, along with Koit Toome perform their romantic entry Verona in an appearance very close to what we had seen in Eesti Laul in March.

18 Israel

The last act to rehearse for this semi-final is Israel. The Israeli’s Rising Star winner IMRI promises to close the semi-final round in a very resurgent way. Let’s see if it will give him the ticket to the final.
