The Irish representative at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, Brendan Murray has arrived moments ago in the Ukrainian capital for the event. The young Galway singer is scheduled to rehearse for the first time tomorrow on the stage of the International Exhibition Center.

A warm welcome

The Ukrainians welcomed the Irish entrant to their country with great pleasure. At the Kyiv Boryspil International Airport, Brendan Murray was welcomed by the very famous Ukrainian singer Svetlana Tarabarova.

The Ukrainian press was also waiting for Brendan’s arrival at the airport and after it there were several questions ready for him.

Ireland is the country with the most victories in Eurovision. The last time was in 1996, with Eimear Quinn and her entry The voice.

Tomorrow Brendan is the last act to rehearse; his rehearsal is at 15:40 CET and his Meet & Greet at 18:00 CET. You may rate his song Dying to try here.

The 62nd Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
