Switzerland: Luca Hänni is the Swiss spokesperson

It was earlier announced in the lifestyle magazine of the national Swiss broadcaster SRF, Glanz&Gloria, that the young singer Luca Hänni will be announcing their jury votes for the 2017 Eurovision.

About Luca Hänni

Hänni was born in Bern, Switzerland. During his time in Kindergarten he received drum lessons. At the age of nine, he taught himself playing the guitar and piano. After finishing school, he began the training as a bricklayer, which he stopped in 2012, in his second training year, in favor of his music career.

In 2012, Luca applied in the ninth season of the singing talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar. On April 28, 2012, he reached the final and won it with 52,85% of the audience votes. Since then, he has released 4 personal albums 11 successful singles. His very first single Don’t think about me had reached No. 1 in German, Austrian and Swiss charts. His last single WARUM! was released in 2016.

Switzerland participates for the 58th time at Eurovision, having won twice; In 1956 and in 1988. The country is performing 13th in the second semi-final evening on 11 May. The 62nd Eurovision Song Contest will be taking place on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
