On December 4th, the mayors of Moscow, host city of Eurovision 2009, Oslo and Bærum (hosts of the 2010 competition) will meet at the Bærum Kulturhus to hold the Host City Insignia Exchange ceremony. The theme art of the Oslo Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed as well.

The 2010 Eurovision Song Contest will take place at the Fornebu Arena, a venue located in the municipality of Bærum, in greater Oslo. This is why the mayors of the two Norwegian cities, Mr Fabian Stang and Mr Odd Reinsfelt, will receive the city keys from the Moscow highest authority, Mr Yury Luzhkov, on December 4th.

The ceremony is scheduled for December 4th at 14:30 CET, where the host broadcaster NRK is expected to reveal the theme art for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. The event will also feature an entertainment programme for children and the performance of the 2009 winner, Alexander Rybak.

The Host City Insignia Exchange was established in 2007 as a new tradition for the Eurovision Song Contest. On September 2007, the mayor of Helsinki, Mr Jussi Pajunen handed over the chain and the keys to the Deputy of the Lord of Belgrade, Ms Radmila Hrustanovic.
