Swedish artists to celebrate Christmas

Santa Claus is coming to town soon… and as every year in Sweden, concerts with famous artists are scheduled all over the country for the last two months of 2009.

It will all begin with “The Show of Christmas – All Shook Up !”, next November 18, at Globen, Stockholm. Organizers announce- “a unique live experience with the pearls from Elvis Presley’s career as well as new hit songsfrom some of Sweden's leading artists”. On stage, Moneybrother, Jill Johnson (1998 Swedish entrant), BWO (4 times Melodifestivalen entrants), E.M.D. (3rd in 2009 Melodifestivalen), Brolle, Henrik Åberg (1996 Melodifestivalen) & Jack Baymoreand Mark Levengood (Melodifestivalen presenter in 2003 and 2005). Under the organization of Global Eatertainment, “Julgalan 2009” will take place in four different places.In Västerås – beginning on November 27, with 8 dates, people will see Sheelah (ex-Caracola, 2008 Melodifestivalen), Duo Jag Rock Show and Rydell & Quick. In Karlstad – beginning on November 27, with 8 dates, the program includes Thomas Di Leva, Jennifer Brown (2009 Melodifestivalen), Ola (2008 Melodifestivalen), Sibel (2008 Melodifestivalen), Karolina Dahlman, Marie Sernholt (ex-A-Teens, 2009 Melodifestivalen), and Roger Pontare (2000 Swedish entrant).

In Stockholm – 7 dates, beginning on December 6, the following artists will be on stage : E-Type (2008 Melodifestivalen), E.M.D. (2009 Melodifestivalen), Markoolio (2009 Melodifestivalen), Linda Bengtzing (3 times Melodifestivalen entrant), Alcazar (several times Melodifestivalen entrant, on December 18 & 19 only), Yohanna (2009 Icelandic entrant, on December 10 and 11 only) and Kate Ryan (2006 Belgian entrant, on December 3, 4 and 5 only – 11 and 12 too, according to Kate Ryan’s website).

Two concerts only are to be given in Copenhagen, Denmark – December 4 and 5, with the cream of Danish pop music : Sys Bjerre, Eran DD, Martyn Brugmann, Shubidua, Nik and Jay, Rugsted & Kreutzfeld, Sanne Salomonsen (2005 Melodifestivalen) and Swedish artist Mikael Rickfors (2009 Melodifestivalen) and Mats Ronander (former Sanne Salomonsen’s husband).

Another Christmas tour is ready to begin, with four famous Melodifestivalen contenders : Måns Zelmerlöw, Sanna Nielsen, Shirley Clamp and Sonja Aldén.
