Fans of Swedish pop music will have a chance to see leading electro pop band BWO perform a live concert at a special scandipop party on 29th September at The Borderline in Soho. London. BWO are one of the most successful Swedish pop acts over the last five years. During this time they have attempted on four occasions to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest. This is a special one-off UK show, where fans will have an exclusive chance to see the masters of Scandinavian electronica.
BWO will be playing tracks from their new album Big Science, which will released in the UK on 5th October. The new album includes three previously released singles You’re Not Alone, Rise To The Occasion, and Right Here Right Now. The group will also be performing some of their greatest hits that has generated world wide success for the group over the past five years.
Since 2005 BWO have made four appearances at the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest selection show, Melodifestivalen. Their first entry Gone, failed to qualify for the final, finishing fifth out of eight in one of the four semi-finals. In 2006, they competed once again in Melodifestivalen with the song Temple Of Love, this time qualifying for the final where they finished second. BWO entered Melodifestivalen for a third time in 2008 with a Lay Your Love on Me where the song finished in third place They group entered Melodifestivalen once again in 2009 with You're Not Alone. The song did not qualify directly for final and was also unsuccessful in the second chance round Andra Chansen.
For the BWO concert on 29th September, party organisers are recommending that fans purchase their tickets as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed in the event of them selling out. If they don’t sell out, then the remainder of the tickets will be on sale at the door on the night. Doors open at 7pm, and we are advised get to get to the event as close to this time as possible as BWO will be performing earlier rather than later!
