The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine, is well on its way, with facilities and venues preparing for the big event. Dutch company Unbranded will build the main stage, decor, Green Room and other backstage facilities. This week, the first two of in total twenty trucks will depart for Kyiv.

Company Unbranded – Creating Experience is not a stranger when it comes to facilitating Eurovision: they also built the main stage and other facilities for Eurovision 2015 in Vienna, Austria.

CEO Gaston van de Poel is very flattered that this prestigious project again is handed to Unbranded, as he told the online media platform Spreekbuis.nl. He explains the logistic process involved with creating the stage in Kyiv:

It happens with two teams, the first three weeks one team, followed with three weeks the other team.

Unbranded previously worked on the Eurovision 2015 stage.

Because of organisational delays and difficulties in Ukraine, the main stage will be less complicated than the stage in Vienna 2015. Nonetheless, Unbranded will deliver a solid product as the company is known for its ability to create internationally acclaimed stages, such as for the MTV Europe Music Awards 2015 in Milan, Italy. Unbranded and the organization in Ukraine will present an unforgettable Eurovision experience.

On the way to Kyiv!

Twenty trucks are headed to Kyiv, ten trips of two trailers with the first two trucks going to Kyiv this week.

Because of customs outside of the European Union, some aspects of the project proved to be more difficult than the trips to Vienna. However, Unbranded and the organization in Kyiv are right on track with building Eurovision’s main stage, Green Room and accompanying facilities.

Unbranded is located at the Mediapark in Hilversum, The Netherlands. They have created many decors, stages and props for large national and international events, from TV-shows, musicals and concerts.

They are currently in negotiations about the MTV Music Awards 2017, this Autumn in London, the United Kingdom.
