Belgium: It’s City Lights for Blanche!

The francophone Belgian broadcaster RTBF selected  Blanche via an internal selection to represent Belgiu at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Blanche (born Ellie Delveaux) is a former partcipant of the Belgian version of The Voice. Her song for Eurovision City lights was released on Spotify last night before the press conference today.

About the press conference

RTBF’s press conference is scheduled to be take place today at 11:00 CET, the French speaking Belgian broadcaster is responsible for the Belgian Eurovision participation every two years. RTBF has managed to qualify to the Grand Final with their two previous entries; in 2013 and in 2015.

This marks the 59th participation for Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest. Belgium has been drawn to compete in the first half of the first semi-final evening on 9 May. Let’s see if 2017 will be also one more lucky year for Belgium, after two qualifications to the Final for RTBF!

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
