Who will represent the Aussies at the forthcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv? It is is indeed one of the biggest mysteries surrounding the upcoming contest. Australia will be participating in the competition for the 3rd time. Mind you, they nearly walked away with the crown last year in Stockholm with Dami Im’s Sound of Silence! What does the country have in store for us this year?….
Australia was invited to participate at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 when the country debuted in the competition with Guy Sebastian in Vienna. The Aussies have had an excellent kick off in the contest as they have placed 5th and 2nd in their 2 year ESC history.

In 2016 the Aussie’s were nearly crowned with the Eurovision trophy when Dami Im achieved a 2nd placing in Stockholm, she won the jury vote! Boy she did mesmerize everyone with her unique performance and staging!

The Eurovision Song Contest is very popular down under, SBS has been airing Europe’s favorite television show for more than 30 years. The Aussies are faithful Eurovision fans with many of them travelling half the world in order to attend the contest.
The rumour mill is rife with lots of names being speculated on the table. SBS remains tight lipped regarding its 2017 Eurovision act and entry. One thing we know for sure is that the country will once again go internal in order to select its Eurovision act and entry as has been the custom since its debut.
So who’s flying to Kyiv? Will it be Kylie Minogue, The Veronicas, Dannii Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Nathalie Imbruglia…. ?
The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
