The second night of the Sanremo Music Festival 2017 has just come to an end, with tonight’s show seeing the continuation of the Campioni category as well as the start of the Nuove Proposte competition.
The Campioni competition continued this evening which saw the remaining 11 participants perform their entries live publicly for the first time.
Tonight’s Campioni qualifiers were once again determined via a 50% televote and 50% press jury vote, the top 8 of which have qualified to night 4 of the competition. The bottom 3 acts of the night will have to perform in the elimination round on night 3 for the right to remain in the festival.
Top 8 Campioni acts (Direct qualifiers)
- Chiara – Nessun posto è casa mi
- Michele Zarrillo – Mani nelle mani
- Marco Masini – Spostato di un secondo
- Paola Turci – Fatti bella per te
- Gigi D’Alessio – La prima stella
- Francesco Gabbani – Occidentali’s karma
- Michele Bravi – Il diario degli errori
- Sergio Sylvestre – Con te
Bottom 3 Campioni acts (Elimination round)
- Nesli feat. Alice Paba – Do retta a te
- Bianca Atzei – Ora esisti solo tu
- Raige feat. Giulia Luzi – Togliamoci la voglia
Joining Clementino, Ron and Giusy Ferreri from night 1 of Sanremo 2017, the bottom 6 acts will compete in night 3 of the event for a place in the next stage of the competition, however only 4 acts will qualify whilst the remaining 2 acts will be eliminated from the festival.
Nuove Proposte results
This evening also saw the start of the Newcomers’ competition, in which a total of 8 acts altogether will compete for the Nuove Proposte victory.
In tonight’s show, the first 4 newcomers performed their entries to both the public and press jury, each of whom had a 50% say on which acts should qualify to night 4 of the contest.
The top 2 acts of the evening were:
- Francesco Guasti – Universo
- Leonardo Lamacchia – Ciò che resta
This means that both Marianne Mirage and Braschi’s journey in the festival has come to an end and they will therefore leave the competition tonight.
Night 3 continues with the cover round of the Campioni competition together with the elimination round, in which we will say goodbye to 2 participants. Nuove Proposte also continues with performances from the last 4 acts, but only 2 will qualify to night 4 of the festival.
