The first extravagant show of the Sanremo Music Festival 2017 is over, with the first set of Campioni qualifiers and elimination round acts now known!

This evening saw the first night of Italy’s biggest music festival, Sanremo 2017, in which the first half of the Campioni participants performed their entries live for the very first time.

During each of the 11 performances this evening, both the public as well as the press voted for their favourite acts, the most voted for qualifying to night 4 of the competition.

Results of Night 1

Following the combination of votes, a total of 8 acts have qualified to the next stage of the competition which will take place on night 4 of the festival.

The bottom 3 acts of the evening will have to perform once again in the elimination round on night 3.

Bottom 3 Campioni acts (Elimination round)

The remaining 11 Campioni participants will perform on night 2 of the Sanremo Festival in which a combined televote and press jury vote will determine the last 8 direct qualifiers who will compete on night 4.

The bottom 3 Campioni acts from night 2 will join tonight’s elimination round acts on night 3 of the festival, in which the televote and press jury vote will decide which 4 acts will join the 16 direct qualifiers on night 4.
