France: Alma to fly the French flag in Kyiv

The French broadcaster announced today that Alma will be their 2017 Eurovision representative who will fly the French flag in Kyiv, Ukraine with the song Requiem. 

After months of speculations and various reports, Alma was decided to be the next French Eurovision representative with the song Requiem

Who is Alma and what is her song?

Alma is a 28 year old french singer (1988) and she is going to sing her song Requiem in Kyiv next May.

“I’m deeply honoured to have been selected to represent my country, France, at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest”,  “I strongly hope to count on the public’s love and support to deliver the best performance possible”

The beautiful Alma, presented already her song Requiem as well as the official video clip of the 2017 Eurovision French entry.

Tonight she will be giving an exclusive first interview on the music TV programme Alcaline on France 2. Tomorrow she will be present at the French Music Awards, Victoires de la Musique

France in Eurovision

France have won the contest 5 times in total and scored 6th at last year’s contest in Stockholm. The country is an automatic qualifier since they part of the Big 5. She will compete on the 13th of May in Kyiv, France will be broadcasting and voting in the 2nd semi-final
