The Dutch 2017 Eurovision Song Contest representatives O’G3NE, consisting of the charming sisters Lisa, Amy and Shelley Vol, have won two Popularity Awards 2017.
The Popularity Awards (Populariteit Awards) are an annual initiative of the large entertainment agency Geels Evenementen, aimed at artists who have shown remarkable success or special achievements over the past year, 2016.
The girls of O’G3NE may add two more trophies to their list of accolades and awards, as they have won two Popularity Awards 2017 in the categories Biggest Breakthrough and Most Successful Girl Band.
The Popularity Awards 2017 were held on Monday 30 January in location The Big Apple at the Studio’s Aalsmeer, during the well-known Geels New Years’ Party.
O’G3NE received their Popularity Awards from the hands of Dutch artist and former Eurovision representative, Gerard Joling (ESC 1988). Lisa, Amy and Shelley are of course very proud to have won the awards, as they shared on Facebook:

O’G3NE’s career has been going from strength to strength since the talented sisters won the popular TV-show The Voice Of Holland in 2014. They released their highly acclaimed album We got this in September 2016, receiving various awards, and they are currently on tour with their successful show Three times a lady.
O’G3NE will represent the Netherlands at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine, performing in the first half on Semi-Final 2 on Thursday 11 May. Their Eurovision entry will most likely be presented to the public at the end of February or early March 2017.
