Switzerland in Eurovision 2016

Canadian-Swiss singer Rykka was selected to represent Switzerland at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest following her victory in the Swiss national final.

Competing in the second semi-final with her entry The last of our kind, Switzerland received a total of 28 points and placed in 18th position, failing to qualify to the Grand Final.

Switzerland’s recent set of results over the last 2 years has pushed the Swiss broadcaster to make changes within their selection process for the upcoming competition, with the country looking for their first qualification since 2014.
