Ireland: Eurovision Extravaganza to air on radio

Last month in Dublin, the RT� (Irish broadcaster) Concert Orchestra presented an evening of celebration of Ireland's Eurovision Song Contest hits and others. Beginning tomorrow night, RT� Radio 1 will broadcast part one of the two recorded shows of the event.

The Show

The programme included, "What's Another Year?" winner Eurovision Song Contest 1980, "In Your Eyes" winner Eurovision Song Contest 1993, "Volare" from Eurovision Song Contest 1958, "Rock'n'Roll Kids" winner Eurovision Song Contest 1994 and more.

The show presented by Maxi (pictured above), who represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973, and in 1981 with Sheeba. There was also a guest appearance by Dustin the Turkey who represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008.

The show was stagedat the National Concert Hall in Dublin on April 15th last.
