Ukrainan television channel STB, has revealed that the auditions for the 2017 Ukrainian Eurovision national selection will kick off on 6 November and will be held throughout the country and conclude on 11 December.

A total of  6 cities in Ukraine will be hosting the auditions for the forthcoming 2017 Ukrainian national selection:

  • 06/11- Odesa
  • 13/11 – Dnipro
  • 20/11-Zaporizhia
  • 27/11 – Kharkiv
  • 04/12 – Lviv
  • 11/12 – Kyiv

NTU is very satisfied with this year’s cooperation with STB for organizing the 2016 Ukrainian Eurovision national selection which brought the Eurovision trophy to Ukraine for the 2 time when Jamala won the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm.

NTU and STB opened the submission period for artists and composers to submit their applications from 1 September- 1 October. Once again both channels will be co-organizing the Ukrainian Eurovision national selection. The 2016 Ukrainian Eurovision winner Jamala will be playing a key role in the national selection next year, as she will be one of the judges in the special jury pannel.

The 2017 Ukrainian Eurovision national final will be aired in February on NTU Channel 1 and STB.

Jamala won the 2016 Eurovision Ukrainian national selection with her entry 1944 and went on fly the Ukrainian flag at the 2016 ESC in Stockholm and won the competition, thus bringing the coveted Grand Prix on Ukrainian soil for the 2nd time in ESC history.

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
