The song

Dance with me is an uptempopop song. As the title suggests, the lyrics are an invitation to dance with the singer:

Just by the way you move
You make me beg for more
I'm burning with desire
It's the night I've waited for

Don't you lose your emotion
Don't you be shy tonight
Let the rhythm show you
Baby, you can do it right
Alright, tonight

The singer

Zoli Ádok is a successful musical actor in his country. He graduated as a dancer from the school of performing arts in Pécs and would travel the world with a music companyto appear in shows like Cats and Fame. He returend to Hungary in 2007 and took part in the talent search A star is born. Currently,he starrs in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat. In2008, his debut album as a solo performer was released. The title track Tánclépés was submitted for the internal selection for the Hungarian entry in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.

The song was eventually chosen as Hunagrian entry in Moscow being the third choicefollowing a disqualified entry and a withdrawal. In 2009, he starrs in the Hungarian comedy film Alom.net and he also performs two of the songs on the soundtrack album. After theEurovision Song Contest, he will appear in the new musical Contact. Zoli Ádok is the third male solo performer to represent the country and the first one since the country's return in 2005. On stage, he will be backed bytwo singers and three female dancers.

The national selection

Hungary went for an internal selection this year. The orginal choice was Márk Zentai with the song If you wanna party. However, the song was disqualified after accusations of plagiarism. The replacement was Kátya Tompos with Magányos csónak, but she withdrew because of time problems. Therefore Zoli Ádok was chosen with Dance with me.

Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest

Having not qualified from the Eastern Europe semi final in 1993, Hungary debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 and achieved its best result to date finishing fourth. Lower placings and an elimination in the 1996 internal semi final followed and the country did not return in 2000 after its relegation in 1999. In 2005 Hungary came back, withdrew again but returned for the 2007 and 2008 contests. Last year, they did not make it past the second semi final, where they finished last.

Magyarországnak és az Àdok Zolinak sok szerencsét és jó eredményt kívánunk Moszkvában!
