Patricia Kaas' new double CD, Kabaret, studio and live, was released last March 30th and the sales list for last week has just been published by disqueenfrance.fr. In the album section, the CD enters at number 15, being the 4th best entrance of the week after Diana Krall, Archive and PJ Harvey & John Parish.

The record company of Patricia Kaas has experienced a very special and new way of commercialisation on Kabaret. First of all, the CD was available for downloading only, last January, at a low price (6 euros). As the physical CD can already be found in some other countries (including Belgium and Russia), the French release was decided only together with a recording of the show, which still tours France and Europe. A live DVD – a recording of last January's concerts at Le Casino De Paris – will be released next May 11th.As for the French Eurovision entry, S'il fallait le faire, it is now available in three different versions: the original versionon the Kabaret studio album (3'39"), the live version (ending the concert – 5'06") and the Eurovision edit (3'01"), which can be downloaded for the price of 0.99 euros, on iTunes, fnac or virgin. "No physical release of a single is scheduled", Edouard Dugois, from the managing team told us, "in any case not yet".

Patricia Kaas will represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 performing third in the final on 16th May.
