Sweden: Melodifestivalen artists talk to esctoday.com

Last night saw the first full dress rehearsals for the Swedish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest, Melodifestivalen 2009. The 11 remaining contestants took to the Globen stage in front of an enthusiastic audience to perform their songs. After the dress rehearsals esctoday.com had a chance to chat with some of the competitors at the press conference which included Mans Zelmerlow, Caroline af Ugglas, H.E.A.T. and E.M.D

Caroline af Ugglas talked about what winning Melodifestivalen would mean to her and how the song would change for Moscow if she is successful.


Mans talked about hissecond assault on the Melodifestivalen competition and how the boxing theme came to the song. He also talks about his upcoming new album, tour and international prospects.


HEAT talk about how it feels to represent rock in the competition and, their recent European tour and their upcoming tour of the United Kingdom next week.


EMD talk about the success of their group in the last 18 months and what they hope to achieve with their performance and new album.
