Tonight, the Portuguese national final for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest was held. Twelve acts competed and it was decided that Flor-de-Lis will go to Moscow with the song Todas as ruas do amor written by Pedro Marquesand Paulo Pereira.

The esctoday.com poll voters agreed with the results: With34.6%, Flor-de-Lis were the clear poll winners ahead of Luciana Abreu.
In 2008, Portugal was represented by Vânia Fernandes, who finished second in the second semi final and 13th in final with her entry Senhora do mar. In 2009, the country will enter the first semi final on 12th May.
