Croatia: Igor Cukrov to Eurovision

Tonight, Dora 2009, the Croatian national final for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest was held. 16 acts competed and at the end of the voting it was decided that Igor Cukrov will represent in Croatia with the song Lijepa Tena composed by Tonci Huljic.

Feminnem had won the poll with 33.6% and finished third in the national final. Franka was the runner-up in the poll and 8th in the national final while the national final winner Igor Cukrov was third in the poll with 10.7%.

In 2008, Croatia was represented by Kraljevi Ulice & 75 Cent with the song Romanca. They finished eqaul third in the second semi final and 21st in the final, which was the country's lowest placing to date. In 2009, Croatia will take part in thesecond semi final on 14th May.
