Partner site eurovision-spain.com reports that Los Vivancos, who were bidding for Eurovision 2009 as Melody's backing dancers, have decided to withdraw from the national selection Eurovision 2009: El Retorno. The seven brothers claim that the required technical and artistic conditions have not been fulfilled and that could put their career at risk.

That lack of "technical and artistic resources prevents Los Vivancos from performing their choreography with quality and professionalism". This statement has come out today from Fernando Bermúdez, one of the authors of Melody's entry Amante de la Luna. Therefore, the seven brothers are out of the competition.

According to Mr. Bermúdez, "Los Vivancos don't want to continue participating at the Spanish national selection . With that production, their career is at risk". Melody's team is currently in search for another choreography and backing dancers.

Although TVE are still awaiting confirmation from the dancers, Fernando Candela, press officer at Vivancos Project Productions SL, have told our partner site eurovision-spain.com that the decision has been already taken.

Melody y Los Vivancos, with the song Amante de la Luna, won last Saturday's Spanish first semi final and therefore proceeded directly to the Final, to be held on the 7th of March. Stay tuned to esctoday.com to follow the latest developments on this story.
