Per Sundes and Maria Haukaas Storeng drew the order of appearence of the final of the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix, the national selection for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.
Per Sundes and Maria Haukaas Storeng drew the order of appearence of the final of MGP when they visited the evening program 'I kveld' (Tonight) at NRK2.
Stian Malme, producer of MGP 2009, has stated that there has been some speculations around pros and cons in relation to the order of appearence in the final. To make it as fair as possible for the contestants NRK chose to make a public draw for the final this year.
This is the first time ever the draw for the final has been done live on television in Norway.

- Ovi – Seven seconds
- Publiners – Te stein
- Alexander Stenerud – Find my girl
- Velvet Inc. – Tricky
- Alexander Rybak – Fairytale
- Thomas Brøndbo – Det vart en storm
- Tone Damli Aaberge – Butterflies
The starting positions 1 and 8 (last) has a historical better chance to get a high placing, so that means that Espen Hana and Tone Damlie Aaberge has a slightly better chance for high scores on Saturdays final in Norway.
